What To Expect.

For Beginners: We will start your first drum lesson by talking about your interests and goals. If all you know is that you want to play drums but aren’t quite sure why, that’s okay! I will teach you basic technique, kit set up, and some standard grooves. From there we will get into the fundamentals: reading, theory, ear training, rudiments, and repertoire all in a way that is fun, engaging, and tailored to your individual goals. Within the first few lessons we will fall into a pace that’s right for you and from there there’s no limit on what you can learn!

For intermediate to advanced players: We will start your lesson by talking about your interests and goals. If you come to me with specific questions or you are prepping for an audition, we can get right into it and I will guide you toward where you want to be. If all you know is that you want to be a better drummer but you aren’t quite sure what that means, that’s cool too. I will evaluate your strengths and weaknesses and from there we will work together to develop a plan that’s right for you!

For those interested in recording and production: I am equipped with some standard technology (hardware and software) to teach you the fundamentals of recording and production.

What You Need To Know.

I teach weekly, 1-on-1, in-person drum lessons out of a home studio located at 4222 46 St NW in Jackson Heights on the south side of Edmonton. The studio is kept clean, well lit, and equipped with two acoustic drum sets, a PA system for playing along to music, as well as some additional technology (if you are interested in recording and production).

For those with severe allergies: We have pets in our home. They are kept out of the studio but this can still affect those with severe pet allergies.

Tuition:  Lessons are scheduled in Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer terms. You can start lessons anytime (You do not need to wait until the beginning of a new term). Upon signing up for drum lessons, you are committing to weekly lessons for the entirety of the term.  Payment must be made with a credit card kept on file or post-dated cheques.  Tuition payments will be processed on the 1st of every month. If you wish to pay by e-transfer or cash, I require payment for the entire term, in full, prior to the first lesson.

Scheduling: I have listed the number of lessons in the term by day and noted any holidays where there will be no lessons here. Please review this and inform me of any other dates that you will not be able to attend so we can subtract these before calculating the total price for the term. Once agreed upon, tuition will be calculated for the exact number of lessons you are able to attend.

If you have any questions or would like to book lessons please contact me.

I’m looking forward to teaching you!
